Crystal Mountain

Novenmber 5, 2000

The top of Crystal Mountain

For our monthly Rising Sun trail run, we would be going up Crystal Mountain, which is in the foothills west of Loveland. Kevin Ehrlick would be our trail leader. The weather turned nasty that morning, with snow up high and wind-driven rain down low, along with scudding clouds and fog. What a day for wheeling!

We met at the Target parking lot just off I-25 in Loveland, and off we went west through town, winding up the mountain roads to the trailhead.

Scott Brown's sweet yellow FJ40, followed by The Miller's sprung over 60, a there's a stock 62, and a couple of minis. click for full sized image

As expected, Bruce Miller just walks right up. click for full sized image

This is what we call an "oops". Jethro's half door swung open, dumping Bruce and Chrissy's stuff all over the trail!

After stowing everything back in the cruiser, and securing the door, Bruce makes another run at it. click for full sized image
