The Broken Birfield Bar
May 4th 2001
The annual Cruise Moab Banquet, Awards Ceremony and Raffle draws hundreds of cruisers into one parking lot. Where else will you see 5 beautiful, trail ready pigs all together at once?
This kind of reminds me of the story of the three bears. Baby bear, the stock FJ60 is on the left. In the middle, Mama bear is slightly modified with a mild lift and medium sized tires, while Papa Bear on the right looks like he could go wherever he wants to!
Nolen videotapes some of the cool rigs, while my son JJ trots by to the right. I think he wanted to make sure he wasn't going to miss dinner! Check out the sweet 40s in the background. You see more Land Cruisers in one spot at this dinner than any other place anywhere. This photo shows one out of 4 long rows of cruisers parked It's too cool!
Greg Luer's 1985 4Runner is in front of Rob Meredith's 1960 FJ25 as they cruise down the row looking for a parking spot. Cruiserheads everywhere wander around and admire each other's rigs. The rocks and cliffs of Moab make the most beautiful back drop for a wonderful evening of cruiser talk and trail stories with old and new found friends.
