Hi, my name is Jeff and I am a Land Cruiser Head. Okay, they say the first step is to admit the problem! I set up this site to document the restoration project of my beloved 1976 FJ-40 Land Cruiser. This truck has been the best vehicle I have ever owned and has outlasted all other vehicles I have owned put together, and that would include four Fords, a Chevy, a Plymouth, and well, the kid totaled the Metro so we'll never know about that one.

I bought it in 1982, and it had 70,000 miles on, still in very good condition. It is now 23 snowy Colorado winters and over 200,000 miles later, and the salt they put on the roads to enable lesser vehicles to pass has taken it's toll on the body, rusting the quarter panels, bed and rocker panels pretty badly. December 1998, I acquired another FJ-40, a 1971 with only 110,000 miles on it, to drive while I take this one apart down to the frame and build it back up.
